[gradsusr] Running GrADS Under Cron

Is there a way to run scripted functions in GrADS which don't require data to be displayed using cron?  My script (.gs file) runs fine, however it does not when started via cron - I imagine because GrADS needs an open xterm window from which it is launched.  Is there a way to work around this or set the DISPLAY so a GrADS script can be called via cron?
