[gradsusr] problem to plot variable with template CTL file

Dear all

I did the following CTL file to deal with several nc files from NCEP/NCAR reanalysis (air.1979.nc, air.1980.nc, ..., air.1999.nc),

DSET ^air.%y4.nc
UNDEF  9.96921E+36
OPTIONS template
DTYPE netcdf
TITLE NCEP REANALISYS
XDEF   144 linear   -180.0  2.5
YDEF    73 linear    -90.0  2.5
ZDEF    17 levels  1000 925 850 700 600 500 400 300 250 200 150 100 70 50 30 20 10
TDEF  7670 linear  00Z01JAN1979 1DY
VARS     1
air     17 t,z,y,x  Daily Air Temperature on Pressure Levels (T)  [K]
ENDVARS

however, when I open the CTL file above into GrAds, anyone error massage rises, apparently indicating that everything ran correctly, but, when I display the variable called air (plot_from_template.png in attach) something occurs and the plot seems to be another thing (not identified yet). 
What must I do to properly display the correct values (plot_from_notemplate.png in attach)? Maybe does the option DTYPE wasn't set properly?
