[gradsusr] areal average in station data

Hi GrADS users,

I've prepared station data from a climatological station network. I'd like
to get areal average of some variables (precipitation and temperature). I
know function aave, but it only works for gridded data. How can I do this?.
I'll appreciate any help or suggestion.   Thank you.
