[gradsusr] Where can I find a Land Cover classification

Good day!

I am now working with a thesis proposal about the effect of land cover change to climate in a specific area. Perhaps you can help me find a website where I can find a classification of land cover in the world having the highest resolution as possible. I will be working with around 40km resolution here in the Philippines, the land cover will be very crucial as an input in the RegCM3. Aside from remote sensed data I would like to do survey with perhaps NCEP reanalyze data on land cover.
