[gradsusr] average over list of t not range

Dear gradsusrs,

I want to produce the average of several irregular lists of time stamps for
u and v wind. Now I know that normally one can use d
ave(u,time=00Z01JAN1985,time=00Z01JAN1990) for example but I want to
consider only the dates listed below. How can I do this?

00Z01DEC1992
