Hi there,
I think you better check which data you would like to use. I checked your URL "http://data.nodc.noaa.gov/opendap/pathfinder/Version6.0/Monthly/1985/198501.s04m1pfv50-bsst-16b.hdf" but in reality, there is no Version6.0 under the path pathfinder. I think that's why you obtain this server error.
Try using other data and see whether you still have problem or not.

I use radsá2.0.a9 under mac os X 10.6.3.á
I tried to open the file of noaa opendap server as follows,
sdfopen http://data.nodc.noaa.gov/opendap/pathfinder/Version6.0/Monthly/1985/198501.s04m1pfv50-bsst-16b.hdf
However, I can not succeed to open it and the error comes like

Could you tell me how to solve this problem?
