I am not sure I understand your question. Which?

1) You have a fortran program where you compute the geostrophic wind but
need help writing a file that grads can read, or

2) Writing a fortran program is not an option for you, so you would like to
do this calculation exclusively in grads.

In any event, you need to tell us which data you have available and what
exactly you would like to plot.
