Hi,

I did "cdo cat uwnd10m.mon.mean.nc vwnd10m.mon.mean.nc uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc"

I opened in grads; "sdfopen uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc"

The outcome is;

Scanning self-describing file:  uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc
SDF file uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc is open as file 1

When I q file;

File 1 : monthly mean u wind
  Descriptor: uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc
  Binary: uvwnd10m.mon.mean.nc
  Type = Gridded
  Xsize = 192  Ysize = 94  Zsize = 1  Tsize = 1512  Esize = 1
  Number of Variables = 1
     uwnd  0  t,y,x  Monthly Mean of U-Wind

Questions:

1. Why the number of variables = 1?
2. Where is vwnd? I can only see uwnd.
3. What should I do to have uwnd and vwnd as my new variables in my new data file?

When I try; "d vwnd"

I get:

Syntax Error:  Invalid Operand
  'vwnd' not a variable or function name
  Error ocurred at column 1
DISPLAY error:  Invalid expression
  Expression = vwnd

Thank you for your help.
