[gradsusr] Error Message: gancgrid error

PLEASE ALWAYS PROVIDE THE VERSION OF GRADS YOU ARE USING!!!

Your netcdf file uses two dimensions for time: month and year are  
separate, and the metadata is not COARDS compliant, so the sdfopen  
code is not mapping the four dimensions of your data variable to X, Y,  
Z, and T correctly. Use a descriptor file, either with the xdfopen or  
open command. You are probably using an older version of GrADS 2.0;  
sdfopen in the latest version would not recognize any of the data  
variables in that file.
