[gradsusr] printim creating corrupted png files

Greetings Jennifer,

   I have some grads code that uses printim to produce a png file that I use as a background image. This worked since 1.9. Now, it's producing a corrupted file that Imagemagick is calling an "improper image header". Any idea?
