Hi all,

I am writing to inform the community of major updates to a product I have
been working on, entitled WebGrADS. WebGrADS is an online web-based version
of GrADS 2 that runs in your browser. It is backed by the cloud and allows
you to access and visualize OPenDAP and GDS data. It was originally posted
to this listserv last spring, but since then there have been many major
updates. WebGrADS now goes beyond an imitator of the GrADS terminal/window
style and includes including a full comprehensive interface. Users can open
datasets, make plots, change the dimension environment, and more without
knowing a single line of GrADS command line code. However, if writing GrADS
command line code is your thing, you can still do that too.

To access it, point your browser towards:
http://webgrads.me (please use FF/Chrome/Safari at this time)

WebGrADS is open-source, so if you are interested in hosting your own
instance with your own configuration (e.g. your own custom featured
datasets), this is supported. Check out the source from the mercurial
repository on the project page and see the README file for instructions on
how to install and setup an instance. Feel free to email me for support.

The purpose of this is to gauge interest and acquire feedback, so please
feel free to provide comments, questions, and suggestions.
