[gradsusr] Draw shapefile in GrADS error

Subject: [gradsusr] Draw shapefile in GrADS error

Dear all,

Did I miss some steps in drawing shapefile? I want to draw a polygon. I followed the GrADS command to draw shp from http://www.iges.org/grads/gadoc/gradcomddrawshp.html but always getting the message No scaling environment.
what I did are:
'set shpopts 5'
'draw shp shp_name'
