[gradsusr] is it possible to append a file vertically...in Grads

Dear all

I am extracting point data from monthly files of precipitation and
temperature (ie: in a year there are 12 .ctl files each for one month). I
want to write the average of each month in a single .csv file for a
particular year through a grads script ( through single script it seems to
me that it will not work but i have written separate scripts for each
month). In the first column i displayed the average of January and now i
want that when the next time the write command runs the output should be
written in the next column rather than below the average of January.how to
append it vertically...

Help is needed in this regards.
