primero prueba con xdfopen, a mi ese error me aparece cuando intentaba abrir archivos netcdf con tan solo el puro archivo  (aunque para los niveles de presion) ahora lo que hago es poner en el .ddf los niveles de presion
ejemplo:
dset ^srea2_uhadg_f192x145_mo_zg_r1_20002099.nc
tdef time 1199 linear JAN2000 1mo
zdef  20 levels
 1000.00
  950.00
  925.00
  900.00
  850.00
  800.00
  750.00
  700.00
  650.00
  600.00
  550.00
  500.00
  450.00
  400.00
  350.00
  300.00
  250.00
  200.00
  150.00
  100.00
deberias de intentar poner todas las coordenadas de  X, si puedes mandame una archivo de los que usas (pequeño) para hacer una prueba o buscar otra solucion quedo atento perdon la traduccion.

-----------------
xdfopen first
test, my I get this error when trying to open NetCDF files with just
the pure file (although the levels of pressure) now what I do is put in
the. ddf pressure levels
example
DSET ^ srea2_uhadg_f192x145_mo_zg_r1_20002099.nc
1199 TDEF linear time 1Mo JAN2000
zdef 20 levels
 1000.00
  950.00
  925.00
  900.00
  850.00
  800.00
  750.00
  700.00
  650.00
  600.00
  550.00
  500.00
  450.00
  400.00
  350.00
  300.00
  250.00
  200.00
  150.00
  100.00
you
should try to put all the coordinates of X, if you can send me a file
that you use (small) to test or look for another solution is attentive
pardon the translation.

Hi

I have MISR monthly aerosol data files in (.hdf) format.
When I try to open this in GrADS it shows the following error:

ga-> sdfopen D:\jan.hdf
*Scanning self-describing file: D:\jan.hdf*
*gadsdf : SDF file has no discernable X coordinate.*

Does anybody know about this problem and its possible solution?

Thanks

Rashed
