[gradsusr] mfhilo still broken?

Hi,
I need to use mfhilo (in opengrads v2.0.a7.oga.3.1 on linux, built from cvs source), 
but last I remember, mike fiorino's user extension package was broken.
is this still the case? whats the status with this extension?  
are there any updates on when this will be available?
