If I understood you want set a color for your text?

Try:

set string <color> <justify> <thickness> <rotation>

<color> = table grads color
<justify> = l, c, r, tl, tc, bl, tc and tr
<thickness> = range 1 up to 6
<rotation> = -90 (clockwise) até 90 (anticlockwise)
