Make sure your CTL file has TDEF clearly defined for the combined time frame.  I have three 24 hour netCDF files combined into one file and my TDEF line is
tdef 72  linear 00:00Z23apr2006 1hr
 
Then, you can set t to 15, e.g.
 
set t 15
d variable

hi,

 

Im using ncecat function to combine 30 files into one netcdf file, which the timestep should be 30. but when I try ncdump then it shows the 'record' is 30 but nt tsize. so how I dsiplay the figure of lets say 15th day?
