[gradsusr] Linear Trend in Data

Dear Sir,

I want to see linear trend (linear regression) in my data w.r.to time as a
an independent variable. After opening my ctl file and setting latitude,
longitude and time, I was trying to use the udf function to see trend in
temperature:
trend=linreg(tmp)

But when I use this, GrADS simply quits without any message? I am using open
GrADS Version 2.0.a7.oga.3.
Could you please guide me how to fit a linear trend line in the data? Also
Can I see a spatial pattern of trend as well in GrADS?
