Problem to open grib2 Nomad/CFSR data with opengrads

This problem is related to my post back in May 2009.  I have similar 
issues with the
data set below.  If I try the "sdfopen" exactly as below, using both 
grads-2.0.a7.oga.2
and grads-2.0.a5.oga.5 I get the following (followed by grads exiting):

If instead I "sdfopen" with grads-1.9.0-rc1 (gradsdods), grads-2.0.a5 
(gradsdap), or
grads-2.0.a6 (gradsdap), all works well. 

Back in May when I raised this issue Arlindo suspected it had something 
to do with
integer size (in my case I was reading netCDF files, not grib).
