Hola, yo utilizo grads 1.9 y 2.0.a3 y tu archivo lo abro sin dificultad,

no se si sea por la version de grads que utilizas, puedes probar crearle un .ddf a tu archivo y especificar los parametros de tiempo que tiene.
 ejemplo del ddf:
dset ^srea2_uhadg_f192x145_mo_tsf_r1_20002099.nc
tdef time 1199 linear JAN2000 1mo
checa como se ve en grads 1.9 y 2.0a3 (adjuntos)

Hello, I use 1.9 and 2.0.a3 grads and your file will open without difficulty

if it is not the version of grads you use, you can try create you one. ddf file and specify your parameters of time you have.
 ddf example:
DSET ^ srea2_uhadg_f192x145_mo_tsf_r1_20002099.nc
1199 TDEF linear time 1Mo JAN2000
Czech grads as shown in 1.9 and 2.0a3 (attached)

hi grads_users...

I am a Ph.D student at IIT Delhi and for my research work i have installed grads-2.0.a8 to read netcdf filesie. nc.But there are few .nc files which i am not able to open in grads.the error comes as ..:

ga-> sdfopen ECDYN.nc_01042006 
Scanning self-describing file:  ECDYN.nc_01042006
SDF file has no discernable time coordinate -- using default values.
gadsdf: SDF file does not have any non-coordinate variables.


need help.I am attaching the required file as well.

Also what is the best way to learn grads scripting.

Please help...!!
