[gradsusr] keep variable when opening a new .gs file

Hi all!

I was wondering, is it possible to define a variable in one script and keep that variable when opening a new script?

For example:

uberscript.gs contains:

region='europe'
'run 'region'.gs'

It will then run europe.gs, in which I want to have region defined as europe. But grads resets the defined variables when you open up a a new script.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
