Hello,
Yes for 800 hPa and above it interpolates to the those surfaces. For 900 hPa a significant amount of the map is land is blotched ou. For 1000 hPa just the ocean has contours. For example with ncl we can interpolate to the surface. Ncl is a bit harder to use.

Hi there,

When you generate the fields via the ARWPOST you can specify the levels you want either in height levels or pressure levels. Then ARWPOST will do the interpolation job for you. Give a try.

Cheers

Hello grads users,
I want to interpolate the filed o3 in the wrf output to the 1000 hPa surface. I have attached an image of
Issue. I have tried Bob Hart’s pinterp.gs<http://pinterp.gs> script but I get the following error:

Non-numeric args to numeric operation
  Error occurred on line 106
  In file pinterp.gs<http://pinterp.gs>
Function not found: pinterp
  Error occurred on line 21
  In file 1000hPa.gs

Are these three lines correct:

"run pinterp.gs<http://pinterp.gs>"
"a = o3*1000"
"d a" pinterp(a,Lev,1000)

Thanks
