[gradsusr] Help Geopotencial 1000 mb

Hello Angelo,
By default, ARWpost does not extrapolate to pressure levels below the earth's surface. Over most of southern South America, the 1000 mb surface is below ground and therefore it is imaginary. There is a setting in the ARWpost namelist that forces ARWpost to extrapolate to pressure surfaces below ground. Set extrapolate = .true. to get this behavior. Note that in areas of high mountains, the extrapolation to 1000 mb, far below the surface, may not be meaningful.

Subject: [gradsusr] Help Geopotencial 1000 mb
Hello.
I have a problem trying to plot the variable geopotential at 1000 mb from the wrf model.
The steps are:
set contour gxout
set lev 1000 1000
d geopt
Here comes the problem, because the figure do not graphics data on the continent.
You either geopotential data plotted below 0.
Why is this happening?
Sigma levels will be because I use?
I have attached a screenshot of the FIG.
HELP!
