DISPLAY SINGLE VALUE

You can set lat and set lon to any single values, then display the variable and it will print the value for that point in the terminal window (not print it on the map window). However, I'm pretty sure that just gives you the value at the nearest grid point. To interpolate to a specific location, I think you have to do your own calculation. Then if you want it printed on the map, you have to do that as well (though there are lots of examples for that in the user group archive and maybe other places online.

Hi, the gxout grid command is useless for my purpose because it just give to me the value in the grid point coordinate. If I want the value for a point that is, let's say, to the right or to the left or between two grids points How can I deploy this single value on a map?

I take it the set gxout grid command does not accomplish your goal?

Subject: DISPLAY SINGLE VALUE

Hello everyone..This is my issue: I'm trying to display a set of points values on a x,y Grads map. I just want the single value at a certains coordinates, not an isoline or the grid value. I can display the value for a particular cordinate but just in the command screen, not in the map.
Please help..
