calculate monthly mean by using daily data

Hi Everyone,
 
I have daily GCM output data with leap year and want to change it to
monthly mean. I try to do the average and modify it to seasonal, but I
didn't get the right monthly value. Do you have a code I can use to do
this? Thanks.
