error with opening the .ctl file in grads

Dear friends
     When i'm opening one of my *.ctl file it is giving some error like
below, i didin't getting what's the problem with this file. The *.dat file
size is arnd 3GB.

*ga>>open Kaiga-oneway-6nested-d06.ctl

Open Error:  Can't open binary data file
  File name = Kaiga-oneway-6nested-d06.dat*
