Hello Tristan,

You need to have a separate data descriptor file for each time level for moving nest data. In grads, it is only possible to define one horizontal grid (XDEF and YDEF, and PDEF if the data is on a map projection) in a single data descriptor file. Create a ctl file for each time level in your output, using XDEF and YDEF (and possibly PDEF) to define the location of the nest at that particular time level.

Hi all:
I'm having difficulty viewing moving nest output in GrADS. Can anyone
tell me why the map coordinates and coastline would not be changing as
the nest moves during the simulation period?

I thought I could solve this by varying time and lat and lon.
When I try to 'set t' to vary, or 'lat' and 'lon' to vary, the error
message I get when attempting to plot is: "entire grid undefined."

With thanks,
Tristan Shepherd
