gd erroe in grads-2.0a4

Hello,
            When I tried to compile grads-2.0a4, I met the following:

gxmeta.o: In function `gxhpng':
gxmeta.c:(.text+0x1d40): undefined reference to `gdImageCreateFromPng'
gxmeta.c:(.text+0x296c): undefined reference to `gdImageCreateFromPng'
gxmeta.c:(.text+0x2aa0): undefined reference to `gdImageCreateFromPng'
gxmeta.c:(.text+0x2ba1): undefined reference to `gdImagePng'


Cam anyone tell me how to solve it?  Thanks!
