Hi Bernd,
There is an option in GrADS to convert world coordinates into x y
coordinates.
Typ q in GrADS and you will find all the q options: one of them is q w2xy.
Just type q w2yx 44 12. It should give you the x Y coodrinates you can then
implement in draw marker.
