Thank your for these instructions. Please specify the GrADS version you are
using. These instructions only apply to GrADS v1.x as GrADS v2.0 does not
support classic UDFs.

Alternatives for EOF in GrADS v2.0 include pygrads

There is also the possibility of implementing this EOF package as an
OpenGrADS extension. Any volunteers? I can walk you through the necessary
steps.
