Template Option with Timeseries

I'm trying to use the template option to generate a timeseries and am
getting I/O errors.  Please refer to the CTL file and GrADS session below.

I could not locate anything in the Users List.

Just FYI .... I can use the same CTL file below and display the MEAN of
a parameter using:

set lat 20 80
set lon -120 0
set lev 1000
define tempc=(TMPprs-273.16)
d mean(tempc, t=1, t=30)

I MUST define the tempc variable however or I get the similar I/O errors.
