Reading GFS GRIB2 files: issues with gribmap

Hi Kevin,

If you can use g2ctl to generate the index file, why do you run gribmap at all?

gfs2.t12z.pgrbf00.idx >$TEMP_DIR/gfs2_000.ctl

This will create both the CTL and IDX files in *my* TEMP_DIR using
data from *my* data source folder (it can be whatever you want it to be)

Then the following:

$GRADS2_DIR/gribmap -0 -i $TEMP_DIR/gfs2_000.ctl
