Hi All

I've had success using GRADS 2.a.02 to create CTL and IDX files, using
gribmap (which really is "grib2map" in version 2.a.02 but still called
"gribmap").

Here is my process (I am showing the 00hour as an example - do the
same for ALL hours)

perl g2ctl.pl $REMOTE_DIR1/gfs.t12z.pgrbf00.grb2 $TEMP_DIR/
gfs2.t12z.pgrbf00.idx >$TEMP_DIR/gfs2_000.ctl

This will create both the CTL and IDX files in *my* TEMP_DIR using
data from *my* data source folder (it can be whatever you want it to be)

Then the following:

$GRADS2_DIR/gribmap -0 -i $TEMP_DIR/gfs2_000.ctl

where GRADS2_DIR=/usr/local/bin/grads-2.0.a2/bin (*my* location of the
latest version of grads)

Fire up grads 2 and open gfs2_000.ctl

This process works perfectly for me.
