Converting ECMWF .pp data file into GrADS-readable data format

Ooi,

It would be useful to know what the source of your data was. If this is
supposed to be ECMWF Reanalysis data then can you not get it direct from
ECMWF in GRIB format?

The problems you are facing are in the original .pp file. Note that this
is not a GRIB file, it is a file format (called PP) used by the UK Met
Office.

It looks like all the floating point data in the file has the wrong byte
order, or is corrupted. I can only suggest that you query the source of
the data and make sure what they give you is correct.

Cheers,
Paul

However, after selecting one of them to be converted as test.nc file, errors occurred when I opened it in GrADS (window version 1.9.0-rc1). Can you guide me further, and if possible, provide me the correct step-by-step procedures ?
