ocean basemap using shapefile extension

Does anyone have any info regarding a shapefile that can be used to create
ocean basemaps?

I need to blank out a section of ocean, and I prefer not to use the
"basemap.gs" script.

The shapefile extension is more accurate and faster.



Is there a shapefile available that covers world oceans?
