vector thickness

As far as I know, there is no command directly to increase the vector thickness. However, you should try to draw this figure in a narrower area by 'set parea xmin xmax ymin ymax'. Because the vector thickness is independent to the plot area, it will be reversely thicker with the plot area reducing. I hope it will work for you.

Is it possible to increase the thickness of the line of the vectors, while using  'set gxout vector'?
