Barbara,

   Perfect. Xeroxes are fine. As long as they all add up to $1,500 or more that's fine - I don't need them all. You're a dear, thank you.

   Mary and I will be out so you can just drop them off in the mailbox, and I will bring you a cheque for $500 in the morning.

Michael

Hello ALL,
 I am still coming up with the same error....I am
running a hurricanetrack code
here is my script

filnam='/home2/fritz/script/Floyd.dat'

'draw map'

while (1)
res = read(filnam)
rc = sublin(res,1)

if (rc > 0)
* Check if there is a problem reading
if (rc = 2)
say 'EOF - Finished reading 'filnam
res = close(filnam)
break
else
say rc ' Error while reading 'filnam
res = close(filnam)
break
endif
endif

* No problems
* Step 1 - read in the position

datum = sublin(res,2)
dateline = subwrd(datum,1)
longitude = subwrd(datum,2)
latitude = subwrd(datum,3)

* Step 2 - convert lat/lon to page position
'd ugrd10m.1;vgrd10m.1;mag(ugrd10m.1,vgrd10m.1)'
x0 = subwrd(result,3)
y0 = subwrd(result,6)

* Step 3 - plot the position on the page
'draw mark 2 'x0' 'y0' 0.1'
endwhile
 here is what I am getting:

ga-> set lon 270 350
LON set to 270 350
ga-> set lat 0 50
LAT set to 0 50

Hi Daniel,
If you are using excel, just save the file as
"Formatted Text (space delimited)". The extension of
the file will be .prn (same as .txt), then you can
open it in nedit.

I want to write binary file into ASCII in some predefine format using
 GrADS. Please let me know the format statement for creating the output
 file.

Thanks in advance

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

This may seem like a clumsy question but I'm trying to understand the
 grads
io pattern to/from storage and whether or not it's tunable (request
 size,
block size, etc.) to make use of high performance RAID devices.

Make sense?

I apologize for the wrong email that I've just sent by mistake.

All the best,

Subject: conversion to txt file

Hi,

I am using the folowing script to create txt files from my model output
 data.

'set grads off'
'set gxout print'
'set prnopts %10.5e 1 1'
'set z 1'
'set lat 41.67'
'set lon 26.57'
'set t 1 95'
'd t2-273.16'
say result
write('tempedrn.txt',result,append)
'reinit'

However, when I took time "t" higher then 99, I had en error:

Error reading 2 bytes at location 426501748

What should I do to get values in .txt format for t>99.

Thanks,
Elif.
