Interpreting GFS data

Hi everybody !

I'd like to interprete the GFS data for a given time (like +18 h, for
example) and put a pictograph telling whether it is sunny, raining,
hail, cloudy, very cloudy, etc., starting from the precipitation data,
the cloud cover, and any other available GFS data.

I am currently trying to get my own recepisse and I wonder whether
there is some common shared knowledge ? Or is this such a hot topic
that everybody keeps his own secret ?

I have been wondering about this for a long time now - can anybody
tell me his view ? Give me some help ? Tell me some pointers ?

I would appreciate any comment - even when you tell me that it is a secret !
