Ukraine boundaries?

All,

    The 'lowres', 'mres', and 'hires' maps do not appear to have
international boundaries for the former Soviet republics; specifically,
I'm trying to make plots of rainfall over Ukraine and the boundaries
these datasets draw are the pre-1991 boundaries.  Does anyone know of a
map boundary file that I could use for Ukraine, or better yet, all of
the former Soviet republics?
