to do this try the following. (I guess you run a UNIX, LINUX or Mac
OS X System)

1) Create a big gribfile  with all gribs you have with command "cat"
    ex.   cat gribfile00.grb gribfile06.grb gribfile12.grb ......
 >  total.grb

2) Now make a ctl File of the  "total.grb" - File

3) The individual timesteps can be accessed by the time variable  t =
last for example is your latest gribfile you concatenated with cat in
Step 1.

May be this can work for you, it´s just an idea to do that.
