Slices for data in hybrid coordinate; profiles - how to do that?

Hello,

I'd like to draw vertical slices for some data written from the model on hybrid
levels. That means, that the geometrical height of levels varies over horizontal
location. And I'd like to have a geometrical height as a vertical coordinate on
the vertical axis of the slice. Is there any way to do that in grads - vertical
slice with levels varying over horizontal location?
Please, let me know even if the answer is negative (is there any stable free
software capable of doing it?).

And one more question: In case of drawing vertical profiles for data in hybrid
coordinate - is it correct to:
1. use 'proper' ctl for indexing grib (data on hybrid levels) with gribmap and
2. then use 'fake' ctl for each horizontal location with localized levels - for
drawing the data?
Or is there some error in this way?

Witek.
