Problem with vint when using netcdf

Hi,

I'm trying to use vint with netcdf files in the following way to calculate the surface level precipitation rate.

d vint(prmsl_meanseale,prate_surface,275)/100

The error returned is:

Error from VINT:  Too few levels in default file 
Operation Error:  Error from vint function
Error ocurred at column 1
DISPLAY error:  Invalid expression 

I think this error is occuring because the time series for prmslmsl is t+3 hours, and for pratesfc 0:0-3 hour ave fcst.

Any suggestions?
