two different drawings in one figure

Hi Wenhong,
if I understand you correctly, you want two different plots on top of
each other.
so you just plot:
set lat 0 90
set lon 0 360
d u
set lat 0
d u

That works for me. If you want to adjust now the frame, you have to use
'q gxinfo' and put the X and Y limits in 'set parea'. Then it looks nicer.
