Gee, that perl script probably dates back 1998.  The ftp site for the
current version is at

         ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/cpc/wd51we/wgrib.scripts/

BTW,  the old Bourne shell script is in the obsolete subdirectory and is
only of historical
interest.
