Marco,

What I didn't realize is that the tutorial uses a grib file (.grb), and
a station index file (.gmp), so you need to change two lines in the
control file.  Just as you adjusted the dset line, further down in the
.ctl file is a line that reads

index ^model.gmp

You need to change the ^ to match what you did with the dset line (at
least, as long as you downloaded the .gmp file into the same
directory).  So try this, and don't forget to give the whole path in the
open command (which is one reason I put things in a different directory
-- it makes it a lot easier to type a shorter path!).  I just downloaded
the three files, and until I fixed the index line, I couldn't get the
file to open either.
