STRLEN intrinsic function

Dear GrADS users,

Reading GrADS Documentation (gadoc) I found the intrinsic function
STRLEN(string) that match what I want to do!
However, when I run my script, GrADS gives an error message saying that
function wasn't found!
Does STRLEN() function really exist? Is gadoc updated?
