Time series plot

Dear all,

 I would like to make a time series plot with x-axis as time and y-axis as
latitude. If I do the following, I will get the plot in which by default
the x-axis is latitude and y-axis is time. Can someone suggest me how I
change the axes in the plot?

set z 1
set lat 5.0 20.0
set lon 87.0
set t 1 12
d sst
