problems with palett bar

I defined a very thick palette (99 colors) to have a  nice plot. The
problem is that when I plot the bar ('run cbarn') the numbers of the
palette are superposed on to each others, so they are completely
useless. How can I have GRADS write below the palette just one number
every ten colors for exemple?Is that possible?I do not want it to  write
one number every color of the palette bar, otherwise it'll be
incomprehensible again.
