writing area average in txt.file

Hi All,
 I am trying to find time series of area average over certain region for 10 
years.
I am using tloop and aave function in grads.
But when i use these function in script so that i can write these vales to 
some txt files, its not working
Is there any way so that i can write my time series data to some txt file 
which can be open in spread sheets.
