Hi,
I am relatively new to GRADS. I tried making a data file and .ctl and am having some issues plotting it up. I am pretty sure it is because I am unsure of the .ctl's format. I made a TEST.out file which mirrors the data I want to make a plot of. It has 5 columns and 9 rows. The columns are XDIM, YDIM, LAT,LONG, WINDSPEED. Using the GRADS USER MANUAL I made a simple Fortran program to put the data in a readable format for grads(test.f). I outputed the files first in ASCII(GRADS_ASCII.dat) to check to see if they were correct and then in the grads useable format(GRADS_BIN.dat). I then made GRADS.ctl. I know the .ctl file is accessing the GRADS_BIN.dat file, because I change the WINDSPEED value in the first row from 5 to 10 and the plot in grads changes. It looks nothing like I want it to long like though.
I tarred the files together and have attached them Any help would be much appreciated!
